Natasha Ribeiro, Designer

Natasha is a designer with a passion for sustainability within the built environment and with a longstanding interest in the fine arts and the natural world.

In her architectural practice, she has experience working on a wide range of projects, including equitable housing for pueblo communities, mixed-use housing for artists, and large-scale, historic preservation of regionally noteworthy buildings. She most recently collaborated with an interdisciplinary team of architects, scientists, and engineers to propose a design for autonomous lunar greenhouses, which won the top award in NASA’s national MINDS competition. Prior to practicing, she worked as the Visual Arts Digital Coordinator for the Fine Arts Department at Smith College, an all-women's institution in Western Massachusetts.

Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Natasha graduated with her MArch from The University of New Mexico, where she was awarded an American Association of University Women (AAUW) Selected Professions fellowship, as well as the AIA Henry Adams Award. Prior to graduating, she spent an additional year at the University of Washington College of the Built Environment studying sustainable design and fabrication. She also holds a BFA from UNM in photography. Natasha enjoys life in northern New Mexico, where she can be seen hiking in her spare time with her partner and their inquisitive Australian cattle dog, Ada.
