B.PUBLIC Prefab in Service Professional Practice
Getting the Details right with partners in passive design
Made for Passive House - Net-zero Ready
B.PUBLIC Prefab components are designed and engineered with Passive House performance in mind. We apply best practices to reduce errors, empower more professionals to design with performance envelopes and support CPHCs in modeling and certifying for all levels of green.
1. Site Feasibility We offer consulting services to design and construction industry professionals to assess the feasibility of using prefabricated building solutions for new construction projects. This could involve site evaluation and determining the suitability of prefab construction for a particular location, including access, crane location, and staging.
2. Assembly Sets to ICC/MBI 1200 Code We create project assembly sets that comply with the International Code Council (ICC) and Modular Building Institute (MBI) 1200 code. These sets would include design and construction plans that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements and include panel configurations, structural connections, and sequencing for installation.
3. Shop Drawings We create detailed shop drawings stamped by our structural engineering partners for each component produced by B.PUBLIC. These drawings provide precise fabrication, team communication, and quality assurance.
4. Technical Coordination We offer technical coordination services and support integrated teams for overall project design. This allows for streamlining the design and building process.
5. Estimates Rare in the industry, we offer upfront and immediate cost estimating for custom envelopes and technical services. With ease, we offer pricing for our standard system and fully custom components to suit every project, from ADUs to low-rise multi-family projects. Tools to value high performance early in project development to allow for a streamlined path to sustainable and low-energy projects based on data.
6. Training We offer in-person and online in-depth building science, off-site integration, sustainability, and professional practice. We are dedicated to meeting our partners where they are with opportunities from one-on-one to group programs to the industry on best practices—offering CEUs online and in person. We are also real people available by phone for that just-in-time answer to keep advancing your practice.
7. Builder Program The only company in the industry offering comprehensive training to builders with hands-on safety, material, estimating, sequencing, and installation. The company’s bespoke ongoing support to builders and contractors who are implementing prefab solutions serves the off-site industry and the integration of Passive House standards.
