Settled in the country along U.S. Forest Service land just outside Salida, CO, this multi-generational retreat boasts 360-degree mountain views as far as the eye can see. Prefabricated extreme high-efficiency wall and roof panels, made by B.PUBLIC Prefab, triple-paned windows, radiant floors, and wood-burning fireplaces will combine with large south facing windows, deep overhangs, and cross ventilation to create an almost completely self-sufficient home clearly in a league of it’s own. The main house incorporates all that is modern in it’s simple lines created only by nature with wood, concrete, and steel as the main materials inside and out. The small guest cabin sits lower in the landscape, incorporating older reclaimed materials seeking to engage more with the history of this beautiful place. Together, they make a retreat that will create memories for a lifetime.
