Last fall the CZU Lightning Complex fire destroyed over nine hundred homes in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The devastating loss affected an area already dealing with a housing shortage and affordability crisis. On November 3, Jonah Stanford, Charlotte Lagarde, and JD Scott of B. PUBLIC Prefab will share the story of one family rebuilding with rapid timelines and high-performance expectations: Passive House performance with a foam-free assembly. The first design meeting was in March 2021 and the project’s structural/thermal envelope was installed in September. 

The project team will discuss the urgency to adopt off-site solutions, and the company’s approach to designing with standard components for quick execution. Join us and the B. Public team on November 3.
